Water Trail Guide- South Holston Tailwater Fishing



South Fork Holston River tailwater which is below South Holston Lake

allows 18 miles of river populated with estimated 6,000 fish per mile.

Being a tailwater fishery, it is important to check with TVA to see

when water releases are planned. Most all of the River can be waded but for

safety only when no water is being generated at the damn. A boat will be

necessary during the releases.
